Our teachers take a very active role in teaching their students, and enjoy having the opportunity to learn about the students as individuals. Although surprising to some, our teachers have shared that they get to know their students better in our online setting than they did when teaching in a traditional school. In most cases, the teachers’ interactions with students are one-on-one. We enjoy the opportunity to learn who our students are and although it may surprise some, our teachers have found since we are teaching in a non-traditional method, we get to know ‘who’ are student is, rather than who they ‘appear’ to be. We have quite lively discussions in most classes and truly look forward to our class meetings with each and every class. All of our teachers hold California Single Subject Credentials in the subject that they are teaching, much like a traditional high school. Our teachers truly know their core subjects and are authorized by the state to teach those subjects. See for yourself - read their bios on the right side of this page - just click the link by their name.Frequent communication is essential; it really helps to ensure a successful relationship for student, parent, and teacher. While email is our primary communication tool, we also contact students and parents by telephone. Our teachers regularly communicate with families during non-traditional hours because we realize that many of you keep hours that don’t coincide with traditional school hours. Our classes meet Monday-Thursday and we have Fridays available for meetings and any tutoring that may arise. We can also arrange other times if need be.Personal communication is one of the things that sets us apart from other schools. Our students are important to us.
